Her Weight Loss Mindset | Lose Weight, Meal Prep, Healthy Habits, and Workouts
Happy Thanksgiving!!!
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 “Always be joyful. Never stop praying. Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.”
Reflection:
What are you thankful for today?
WHO are you thankful for today?
If you woke up today with ONLY what you thanked God for yesterday, what would you have?
Journal Prompts:
- What has God carried you through this year?
- How has He shown His faithfulness in your body, your health, or your mindset?
- And what blessing, no matter how small, are you most thankful for right now?
Father, thank You for this beautiful day of gratitude. Thank You for every listener, for the hands that prepare the meal, and the hearts gathered around the table. Remind us that every good thing comes from You. Help us to eat with peace, to laugh with joy, and to rest in Your love. We give You praise today and every day. In Jesus’ name, amen.
Happy Thanksgiving!!!

So 1 Thessalonians 5 verses 16 to 18 says, Always be joyful, never stop praying, be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.
These verses remind us that gratitude isn't tied to how things are going, it's tied to who we're walking with. And even if this year has had challenges, we can still whisper, thank you Jesus, because he's been faithful in every single step.
So I wanna ask, what are you thankful for today? Who are you thankful for today? I'm thankful for all of you showing up and continuing to support this podcast.
Thankful for those of you who join the Biblical Weight Loss Framework. I don't take what I do lightly.
I know that this is hard work, and I'm just very grateful that you allow me to come into your headspace and share the things that God puts on my heart. I want you to think about this.
If you woke up today with only what you thanked God for yesterday, what would you have? We must shift our heart posture to one of gratitude for all he's done, all he does do, and all he will do.
Even in our struggle, when we choose gratitude, he sustains us. I heard something as it relates to that. If you only woke up today with what you thanked God for, would you have your hands and feet?
Would you have your sight, your senses? Would you have your vision? Would you have your kids?
Would you have your job? Would you have your clothes, your bed, your blanket, your working vehicle, your hair? Think of all these things that we take for granted.
We just assume we wake up in the morning and we're going to have XYZ. But if God took away only what we thanked him for, that should wake us up into realize that our heart is probably needing a little bit of shifting.
When we practice gratitude, it shifts our mindset. Even in health and weight loss, gratitude helps us focus on what our bodies can do, instead of what they're not doing yet. It reminds us that food is not the enemy, it's a gift.
Gratitude helps us slow down the Thanksgiving table and truly savor the flavors, the fellowship, and the faithfulness of God. He is so faithful. So today, take a moment before your meal to pray.
Not about calories, or about what you're going to eat, but about contentment, and ask God to help you enjoy this feast without guilt, and to fill your heart more than your plate.
So here's something to think about today as you journal, or even maybe you're chatting with family or a friend. What has God carried you through this year? How has he shown his faithfulness in your body, your health, or your mindset?
And what blessing, no matter how small, are you most thankful for right now? Sharing your story implants a seed of faith in others. So ask the Lord who needs to hear your story, and then seek his strength to share the word he puts on your heart.
He will lead you. You just have to obey. Sharing your story changes you, and gratitude always softens the heart.
Most Holy Father, thank you for this beautiful day of gratitude. Thank you for every listener, for the hands that prepare the meals, and the hearts gathered around the table. Lord, be with those who are alone today.
Let them know that you are with them. Remind us that every good thing comes from you, Jesus. Help us to eat with peace, to laugh with joy, and to rest in your love.
We give you praise and honor and glory today and every day. It's in Jesus' name we pray. Amen.
Sweet friend, from my heart to yours, happy Thanksgiving. You are loved, you are seen, you are chosen, and you are covered by God's holy grace. Enjoy your meal.
Enjoy the people that you're spending the day with. Most of all, enjoy the presence of Jesus. God bless.
