Isaiah 40:31; “But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength.”
Energy comes from:
- Sleep
- Movement
- Balanced meals
- Prayer and reflection
Morning and evening rituals anchor your day and protect your energy. If you’re struggling to find a routine that works for you, here are some practical steps to help you get started today:
- Morning: Hydrate, pray for 3 minutes and read your bible for 3 minutes.
- Midday: take a Quick walk, eat a balanced snack, and take a few deep breaths, in through your nose, out through your mouth.
3. In the Evening: Reflect, prep for tomorrow, gratitude prayer or spend time with your family or doing something that fills your cup. - Remember, Consistency Over Intensity: Short daily routines beat sporadic extremes that don’t stick.
- Combine Faith & Action: Invite God into every step for renewed strength. He WILL give you what you need, but you have to be willing to listen and walk in obedience.
“Lord, thank You for giving us energy and strength. Help us create routines that honor You, refresh our bodies, and keep us rooted in Your Holy strength, keep us focused and joyful in You Lord. Amen.”

Hey, friends, so today we're gonna talk about energy boosting routines.
I don't know about you, but I need this one.
Listen, I know you're tired.
You're not alone.
I know you're frustrated, and it's okay.
Isaiah 40 31 says, but those whose hope in the Lord will renew their strength.
But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength.
What an incredible promise from the word.
It seems like sometimes, like no matter what we see on social media or the new routine our friends are using, it just doesn't work for us.
Have you been there?
Sometimes we can start to spiral into self-pity, which let me remind you, is sin.
Or we can prayerfully create routines with help of the Holy Spirit that increase our energy, our focus, and our peace, no matter how busy life gets.
So stay tuned for today's episode and grab a pen.
This one is going to be good.

So where does energy actually come from?
Energy comes from sleep, it comes from movement.
Have you ever heard, a body in motion tends to stay in motion, a body at rest tends to stay at rest?
Energy comes from movement, it comes from balanced meals, and it comes from prayer and reflection.
Listen, I have a 10-month-old baby who is now sleeping between us.
Listen, I know, it's not good, it's not healthy, it's just where we're at in this season of life.
So, my energy is zapped through most of the day.
You're not alone in that.
Morning and evening rituals can anchor our day though and protect our energy.
So, if you're struggling to find a routine that works for you, I'm going to give you some practical steps that are going to help you get started today.
So, these are going to take time.
Give yourself grace and pick one that makes sense in the season of life that you're in and start there.
Remember, progress, not perfection, obedience to the Holy Spirit regardless of the outcome.
Perfectionism is unattainable.
It's boring and it's so not of God.
So, here are a couple of things that you can do.
Are you ready?
First thing, in the morning, you're going to hydrate 16 to 20 ounces of water.
You're going to pray for three minutes and read your Bible for three minutes.
Got it?
Hydrate, pray for three minutes, read your Bible for three minutes.
And then, at midday, you're going to go outside and take a quick walk, or maybe you have a walking pad.
You're going to eat a balanced snack, and you're going to take a few deep breaths.
My husband always tells me, you talk too fast.
Slow down.
Take a breath.
I feel right now I need to take a breath.
So, we're going to take a few deep breaths together.
Ready?
In through your nose, out through your mouth.
Let's do that again.
Inhale through your nose, and out through your mouth.
So, one of the trainers in the workouts that I do, he'll have you do some breath work at the end of our mobility workout.
He says, if you inhale for five seconds, try to exhale for 10.
So, if you inhale for six, try to exhale for 12.
You can also do box breathing where you inhale for four, pause for four, exhale for four, pause for four.
Or you can do five or six.
Inhale for five, hold for five, exhale for five, hold for five.
Take a few deep breaths.
And then the next thing you're going to do in the evening is reflect.
What went well today?
And then you're going to prep for tomorrow.
Maybe focus on a gratitude prayer or spend some time with your family doing something that fills your cup.
Remember, we're focusing on consistency over intensity.
It's the short daily routines that beat sporadic extremes that just don't stick.
When I first started coaching my beach body business, which I haven't done in a while, but when I first started coaching, I was working as an outside the home.
I was a marketing director for a construction corporation.
So I had to get up at 4 o'clock in the morning if I wanted to eat, pray, workout, shower before I left for my 36-minute commute.
In the beginning, when I did my miracle morning, if you've never read the book by Hal Elrod, I highly recommend you pick it up.
But I had 13 minutes to do my miracle morning.
So I would pray for three minutes, I would read for three minutes, I would journal for three minutes, et cetera.
It doesn't have to be 30 minutes.
Now I spend about 40 minutes doing my morning routine because I have the time.
Whatever works for you, make it happen.
If you have five minutes, pray for two minutes, read one line of scripture, focus on it, meditate on it, and write down three things that you're going to apply from that scripture in your journal, okay?
And the last thing, you're going to combine faith and action.
I want you to invite God into every step for renewed strength.
He will give you exactly what you need, but you must be willing to listen and then walk in obedience.
So if you want to boost your energy, look at your sleep patterns, look at your movement patterns, look at, see if your meals are balanced, and then look at your prayer and reflection.
Then try to do maybe a reflection or a rating on those, like a one out of a five or one to 10 scale, and rate yourself.
Those are things that you can prayerfully focus on as we move forward.
Think about a couple of things.
Which routines can I anchor to boost my energy today?
Maybe it's water before coffee, and a good healthy carb, and a fat for an afternoon snack.
Banana with two teaspoons of peanut butter is my go-to.
Reflect on how you can use prayer or scripture to strengthen your daily habits.
Waking up five minutes early to spend time with your Holy Father will help you seek him more throughout the day instead of that afternoon coffee that never actually seems to help.
Then ask yourself how you can celebrate small wins.
Look at your energy and consistency.
Focus on the seemingly small things that seem inconsequential because they're actually the ones that add up to consistent lifelong results.
Lord, thank you for giving us energy and strength.
Help us to create routines that honor you, refresh our bodies, and keep us rooted in your holy strength.
Keep us joyful and focused in you alone, Lord.
Amen.
