Her Weight Loss Mindset | Lose Weight, Meal Prep, Healthy Habits, and Workouts
Happy (almost) New Year!!! Here are 3 Things to do DAILY This Year to Reach Your Weight Loss Goal
I know I talk about this often, but I truly believe in the POWER of your morning routine. I recently read a quote by John Bunyon that says "He who runs from God in the morning will scarcely find Him the rest of the day."
1. If you want to reach every God-given goal, give God the first fruits of your day and not your crappy leftovers.
2. Speak LIFE over yourself, your body and your home. There is no more time for shame and self-sabotage by hurtful words to our reflection. God sees us and loves us where we are. He is proud of us for working on this area of our lives, let's learn to see ourselves through His eyes.
3. Eat more protein! You should be eating 25-30grams of protein per meal, 4-5 times per day. the average 200 pound woman NOT exercising needs a minimum of 2,000 calories to LOSE weight and probably close to 180 grams of protein. These are the specifics we work on in the Biblical Weight Loss Framework. Food is NOT your enemy.
4. Set a timer for noon each day and connect with the Holy Spirit. Let's learn to seek God in every choice, every decision, every moment of every day. Yes, we're human and our flesh kicks in, but the more we practice this, the more He shows up and leads us in those seemingly small choices that we so often need Him to, yet forget to ask.
5, Smile, be kind & serve. It's time to put our phones DOWN and live outward instead of inward. "Mindless social scrolling" is NOT biblical, and it steals our time and peace. When you're tempted to scroll, pray and ask Him how you could better use your time. I know I need work here too.

Do you spend hours Googling easy workouts but then have no time to do them because your motivation only goes so far?
Hey there, friend, I'm Lindy Schlabach, Christian Fitness & Nutrition Coach, encourager and friend.
I gained 100 pounds in my late 20s and struggled for years to get it off.
Seven years ago, I found a basic system that works and has helped me lose over 90 of those pounds.
I've been working with women in online fitness and nutrition ever since.
In this podcast, I'll teach you how to lose weight in a way that honors God without obsessing about the scale and meal plan and prep for your family and follow a macro based plan that allows you to eat the foods you love while you reach your goals.
It's time to give God your health journey and watch him make you new from the inside out.
You've got this, sister.
Now go grab your pre-workout or your third coffee like me and let's chat.
Join the Biblical Weight Loss Framework.
We kick off in one week.
We are going to take 90-day deep dive into your mindsets around your weight loss, recognizing triggers, learning to prayerfully overcome those and truly give God our health journey.
We're going to create a happy, healthy nutrition and fitness program for you.
We're going to heal your mind so you can heal your body and truly learn to walk in your God-given purpose.
So today, I am going to give you five things that you're going to do every day in the new year that are going to set you on course to reach the weight loss goals that you have been waiting years to reach.
No resolutions.
These are things that I have done over the past seven years that have helped me lose almost 100 of the pounds that I have gained in my late 20s.
I really, really struggled to find my worth beyond my weight.
I was looking for validity in inappropriate relationships with men.
I was binge drinking.
I was chain smoking.
I was getting high anytime I could, and none of it was filling me in the way that I had hoped.
A friend invited me to church.
She had been inviting me to church.
And finally, that October of 2016, I went.
And I heard a different message about personal relationship with Jesus and how he wanted to be a part of my everyday life.
And my pastor pushed us to get in the Word and read the Word.
And I had been, I had accepted Christ as a teenager, but then I'd walked away from my faith after I was sexually assaulted when I was 19 in college.
And I felt like I was this just broken, irredeemable person that was just in a really dark place.
And I started reading the Word.
And God's Holy Spirit just filled me.
I gave my life back to Christ, driving to work one morning.
And it has been my intention every day to live for Him.
Of course, I mess up a thousand times a day.
My husband would probably be the first to agree with me on that.
But I'm telling you, learning to give God my life and let Him really lead me has been the change that I want everyone that I ever meet or never meet to experience.
Because the peace that fills us when Christ becomes your Savior is unlike any peace I've ever experienced.
Not like the peace that I was searching for when I was just trying and trying in life to earn income and please other people.
And it just it never worked.
So today, it is almost the new year.
And I want to give you five things every day that you can do in this new year to really learn to connect with Christ and let him be the true leader as you move through your weight loss journey.
So I want to challenge you to spend intentional quiet time with Jesus every morning.
His word says he wants our first fruits.
He doesn't want what's left over at the end of the day, okay?
Really, truly, I mean this with all love.
You have time to wake up early.
You just have to go to bed at a more reasonable time, which probably means you need to put your phone down at a more reasonable time.
Listen, if we want to get, if we want God to give us the desires of our heart, then we have to start giving him our first fruits and not our crappy leftovers.
He deserves our best, and our best comes in the morning, even if we woke up on the wrong side of the bed.
When we wake up and we spend intentional time in prayer first, and then reading the Word, we don't pick up our phone.
We have the respect for our Heavenly Father to give him exactly what he desires of us, intentional time and an open heart to the Holy Spirit.
Our first step in the New Year is spending that intentional time with him.
Get up five to 10 minutes early every single morning and watch what happens to you in the first couple of weeks.
You are going to become a completely different person.
You're going to learn to want to talk to him all through the day, every single day.
And even when you forget or you, you know, maybe you go a whole day and you completely space, he's still going to be there.
That nudge is still going to be there.
And you're going to crave that intimate time with him more and more.
The second thing you're going to do is you're going to speak life over yourself, your body, and your home.
You're going to claim who you are as a child of God.
And I want you to repeat daily after me.
Are you ready?
Write it down.
I am a child of the Most High God.
I eat and move according to my goals.
I am strong.
I am worthy.
I am able.
When we speak negativity out, I'm tired, I'm fat, I'll never lose this weight, I'm hungry, I'm angry, I'm frustrated.
Those are the things we become.
But when we speak words of I am strong, I am worthy, I am able, I am a child of the Most High God.
I eat and move according to my goals.
Those are the things that we become.
And what do you want to become?
You want to become the best version of yourself.
You want to become the woman that God has created you to be.
And you already are her.
But it's time to remove all of the frustration and the struggle that we hold around our bodies and start to love and appreciate her as the woman that she is, God created in the image of Jesus Christ himself, okay?
The third thing you're going to do is you're going to eat more protein.
You're going to focus on 20 to 30 grams of protein per meal, probably five meals a day.
Then you're going to watch your weight fall off as your body starts to get fueled properly.
These are things we work through in the weight loss framework.
There is a very specific formula I use to help students reach her weight loss goals.
It's a macro based formula, but really this is the first step, eating more protein, 25 to 30 grams per meal, five meals a day, okay?
The second thing you're going to do is you're going to set a timer either on your phone, on your watch somewhere for 12 o'clock noon every single day as a reminder to check in with the Holy Spirit.
Pretty soon this is going to become a natural part of your day, but until you get into that morning routine and into this afternoon check in, I want you to set a reminder.
I want you to set a timer.
Okay, Father, I'm here.
I forgot to check in with you mid-morning.
I want you to be the source of my strength every day.
Lead me, guide me, speak to me, remind me who I am in you.
Noon, every single day, check in with the Holy Spirit.
Fill me, Holy Spirit, lead me, and guide me.
And the fifth step, you're going to smile, you're going to be kind, and you're going to serve.
It's time to put our phones away and live outward instead of inward.
Ask God to give you the strength that you need to focus on Him instead of the small offerings of the fallen world.
You have so much to offer, and it is not in your tiny phone screen.
There is nothing there that is serving you, okay?
Put it down.
Ask Him where you can volunteer or spend time or get involved in a church or community or spend more time with your friends or your ailing grandparents or go to a nursing home.
Smile, be kind, and serve.
These are steps to building healthy habits that are going to lead you to not just your weight loss goal, but every goal that you ever want to accomplish in your life.
So you're going to spend intentional quiet time with Jesus every day, every morning.
You're going to speak life over yourself, your body, and your home.
You're going to eat 25 to 30 grams of protein per meal five times a day.
You're going to set a timer for 12 o'clock noon every day as a reminder to check in with the Holy Spirit, and you're going to smile.
You're going to be kind to yourself and to others, and you're going to serve.
I have a lot more tips, but this is a really good start.
So I'd love to hear from you.
